In the long exile of life, we are often busy sowing seeds on the wasteland, forgetting to first fence off a territory for our own soul. This is why we always feel exhausted and broken — as if we are an undefended village, trampled at will by the world's anxieties, expectations, and malice. The construction of the "Second Castle" is, in essence, a reclamation movement of self-sovereignty. Its defense is not meant to shut the world out, but to allow your "Capital" to truly and magnificently rise in an absolutely pure space and time.
Once you finally resolve to build this defensive castle and guard that clean corner in your heart that you will never again allow anyone to contaminate, you will feel an unprecedented, almost sacred tremor — the sound of scattered energy beginning to return to the center like a tide. For too long, we have wasted too much of our life force on needless explanations, cheap sympathy, and pathological absorption of others' emotions. That energy was scattered into other people's chaos and turned to dust. But once the castle walls are built and the boundaries are firm, that energy no longer has an outlet to please, to repair, to compromise. It is forced to turn inward, flowing toward the deepest origin within you. The psychological groundedness brought by this "solid foundation" is like suddenly stepping onto a hard reef in a turbulent sea — you finally know that the borders are guarded, that moral extortion wearing false masks and meaningless social garbage will all be intercepted and incinerated at the city gate. They can no longer enter your living space to corrode your soil.
Only when the soil returns to its original purity will your powerful self — representing the "Ultimate Certainty" — dare to plant the first seed there. Because the operation of the "Capital" requires absolute stability; it is like a machine so precise that it cannot tolerate a single grain of dust. Any external emotional noise will cause it to stop. So you must use that almost ruthless "No" to clear the weeds from your territory, to level the land that has been trampled into uneven ground by social rules. Every time you calmly exercise your "Veto Power", every time you push away responsibilities that do not belong to you, your soul is refined once more in that refusal. The impurities you have rejected ultimately transform into the steel and concrete that supports the Capital.
Many people mistakenly believe that refusal will make the self isolated and thin — not knowing that it is only through this decisive pruning that the self becomes immeasurably substantial. That "powerful self" is not an exaggerated posture, but a quiet sense of certainty — the knowing that nothing and no one in this world can shake you, because your inner world has achieved a grand unified peace. You will feel an unshakeable calm — not because the outside world has become gentler, but because your Capital has been built. It stands majestically at the center of the castle, overlooking the storms outside. All your refusals, all your indifference, all your "I won't play along" — they have all found their place in this structure. They became pillars, walls, the last line of defense guarding your dignity. This is the deepest contribution of the "Veto Power Practice" to life: it teaches you to stop being a wandering beggar, pleading for others' approval or the world's tolerance, and instead makes you the sole sovereign of your own domain. You no longer need to apologize to anyone for your unhappiness, nor fabricate reasons for your uniqueness. Within that castle, your existence is the only law, your joy is the highest standard. When you stand at the pinnacle of the Capital and watch the distant noise — those who once tried to extort and define you — gradually fade beyond the walls, you will understand: this sense of solitude is actually the crown of freedom, and that grounded power rising from the depths of your soul is the only asset you truly own in this life — one that no one can ever take away.
This construction is slow and sometimes accompanied by the pain of letting go, but when you feel that magnificent calm within, you will know it was all worth it — because you have finally given yourself a home: a spiritual Capital that never needs to explain itself to the outside world, forever pure, forever powerful.
